Man Utd want to sign Juventus defender Alex Sandro
Man Utd are closing in on a summer move for a new full-back as we round-up the latest rumours on Friday, May 18.
United are nearing a deal for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, according to reports in the Italian press.
United manager Jose Mourinho is set to splash out £50m for the Brazil international, who could become the 'Special One's' first signing of the summer transfer market.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese is also expected to allow out-of-favour forward Anthony Martial to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, says the Manchester Evening News.
The Frenchman is believed to be attracting the attention of recently-crowned Serie A champions Juventus.
Elsewhere, Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred, who is understood to be on United's radar, says his future at the Ukrainian club will not be resolved until after this summer's World Cup in Russia.
The Brazil international, 25, is contracted to Shakhtar until the summer of 2023.
And finally, Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini remains in discussions with the club about extending his stay in the north west.
No agreement has been reached as yet, however, it is thought there is still a chance the player will stay at Old Trafford next season.

Wizkid took to his Instagram page to announce the development while calling on his UK fans to look out for the project.
